Don’t forget to relocate your vehicle for UK vs. Louisville game on Nov. 30
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 26, 2024) — The University of Kentucky Wildcats will face the University of Louisville Cardinals at noon Nov. 30, following the Thanksgiving holiday.
This is the last home football game for the Wildcats, and means that some permit holders must relocate their vehicles to make way for fans.
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, students may begin relocating their vehicles to authorized lots and structures starting at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 27.
Students who plan to leave campus earlier than 3:30 p.m. Nov. 27, but also need to leave their vehicles on campus over Thanksgiving break should contact Transportation Services at 859-257-5757 to make special parking arrangements.
Below are additional details about vehicle relocation:
Students and employees who park in the following lots and structures should relocate their vehicles prior to 7 a.m. on game day:
- Periphery (RK, CK, & EK) parking lots at Kroger Field (Blue, South Red Lot & Orange lot), Commonwealth Drive Lot, College Way East and West lots and Wildcat Court lots
- North Red Lot (E10, C10, & R10)
- Sports Center Garage (PS #7)
- Sports Center Drive Lots
- Shively Lot (R16 & C16)

In addition, students and employees who park in the Green Lot (C10, R10, E10) should relocate their vehicle prior to 10 p.m. Nov. 29.
Parking along University Drive is prohibited beginning at 12:01 a.m. on game days.
In addition, the large Gluck Equine Center Lot and a portion of the Orange Lot are restricted to UK Football recreational vehicle (RV) permit parking starting at 7:30 p.m. on the Friday before home football games. Individuals who will be leaving prior to 7:30 p.m. are authorized to park in these areas; however, vehicles remaining in the restricted areas after that time will be relocated by the university to the designated vehicle relocation area, located at the southwest corner of the Orange Lot adjacent to the Orange Lot Alumni Drive exit.
See this map for details about the Orange Lot RV areas.
Following the game, vehicles must be moved back to authorized parking areas before 5 a.m. Dec. 2.
The vehicle relocation map with a complete list of relocation times can be found here. Failure to relocate your vehicle to the designated areas can result in citation or vehicle impoundment.
In addition to vehicle relocation, there are some changes to the weekend Yellow Route. Due to the holiday, the Yellow Route will not be in service Nov. 30. However, it will run expanded hours of 9 a.m. to midnight Dec. 1, to assist students in getting back to their residence halls after the break.
If you have questions about football relocation areas or procedures, please email UK Transportation Services or call our customer service center at 859-257-5757.
