Employee parking permit renewal now open

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 26, 2026) — University of Kentucky employee intermediate (E) and employee periphery (EK) parking permits for 2026-27 are available for purchase starting 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 26.
UK employees can log into their customer account to purchase a permit or visit University of Kentucky Transportation Services’ customer service center in-person. UK Transportation Services is located at 721 Press Ave., on the first floor of Press Avenue Garage.
Indoor customer service center hours are 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, but exterior express pick-up window opens at 6:30 a.m. weekdays. If you order your permit online or over the phone, please allow one full business day for processing prior to pick-up. Permits purchased online can be mailed to your home mailing address or picked up in-person.
Employees who choose to have their permits mailed, pay special attention to the preferred mailing address during the renewal process to ensure it is the employee’s home address, rather than a university office address.
Reminders
- Outstanding parking citations must be paid before a new permit can be purchased. Citations may be paid online or in-person.
- 2025-26 parking permits expire on June 30 and new permits must be displayed when parking on campus no later than Wednesday, July 1.
- Online permit sales are available for regular full-time and regular part-time UK employees who have a linkblue username and password and BCTC employees who have a KCTCS username and password.
- When renewing make sure you have your vehicle information available, as this is required before a permit can be purchased. You’ll need the make, model, color, state and license plate number of your vehicle.
- Employee parking permit prices remain the same as last year, and employees can opt to have their parking permit fees deducted on a pretax basis, resulting in a savings.
- If you want to have the permit mailed to your home address, you must make the purchase prior to close of business on Friday, June 19. Purchases made after that date must be picked up in person at our customer service center.
Other items to consider
- Your permit is not valid in visitor pay lots or at parking meters. If you park in a visitor pay lot or at a meter on campus, you must still pay the meter.
- Permit renewal time offers a good opportunity to consider other methods of transportation to campus. There are many attractive incentives to encourage employees and students to consider sustainable commuting options, such as biking, walking, riding the bus, or ride sharing with family members. Visit our website for details or to sign up for incentive programs.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and healthcare. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $1.02 billion research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
