LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 10, 2025) — Two upcoming events at Kroger Field will impact parking permit holders in the area.

The Kentucky Football Spring Showcase will kick off 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12 at Kroger Field. Permit holders who park in the North and South Red lots, Green Lot, Blue Lot and Orange Lots must relocate their vehicles to regular season football game day relocation areas.

These permit holders (E10, C10, R10, EK, CK, RK, Professional CK) must relocate prior to 8 p.m. Friday, April 11. Relocation can start as early as 3:30 p.m. Friday.

More details about the showcase can be found here.

An upcoming concert by Tyler Childers will be 7 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Kroger Field. This event will also require relocation for permit holders. Additional details will be provided next week.

However, the South Red Lot will be unavailable beginning 8 p.m. Friday, April 11-Tuesday, April 22. LiveNation is using the area to prepare for concert set-up.

Campus parking options increase considerably after 3:30 p.m. on Fridays through the weekends. The following lots and structures will be available for vehicle relocation purposes:

  • Employee intermediate (E) lots
  • Most employee core lots
  • Cornerstone Garage (PS #5)
  • Press Avenue Garage (PS #6)
  • Hilltop Avenue Garage (PS #2)

Pay attention to signage at the entrances to lots and structures to ensure your vehicle is not moved into an area controlled for permits 24 hours a day, seven days a week. These areas include residential lots, structures and areas marked as reserved.

Permit holders who park in University Drive Garage (PS #1), Hilltop Avenue Garage (PS #2) and Sports Center Drive Garage (PS #7), may notice additional traffic in those structures before and during the showcase, but permit holders in these structures are not being asked to relocate their vehicles.

Likewise, University Drive will not be restricted during the Spring Football Showcase, as it is during regular season football games.

Campus Bus Service
The weekend Yellow Route will operate as usual during the spring showcase event. However, riders should anticipate possible delays due to increased traffic congestion in the area.

If you have questions about relocating your vehicle, email UK Transportation Services or call the transportation office at 859-257-5757.
