LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 27, 2020) — As University of Kentucky students, faculty and staff return to classes this fall, the university is providing campus Wellness Stations to meet any unforeseen needs in maintaining a safe and healthy start to the school year.

The pop-up Wellness Stations are centrally located around campus to provide masks, disinfectant and other resources as needed and as available. All Wellness Stations will have operating hours Monday-Friday.

Wellness Stations can be found daily in the Gatton Student Center second floor lobby and, weather permitting, outside of the William T. Young Library, as well as in front of the Multidisciplinary Science Building.

Larger Wellness Stations referred to as the WellHut will be set up near Hilary J. Boone Center; White Hall Classroom Building; College of Agriculture, Food and Environment complex; Gatton College of Business and Economics Building; and The 90.

Sites are subject to change based on campus need.

And for students who have not yet picked up their wellness kit (originally distributed either during move-in or during COVID-19 testing on campus), those kits may be picked up at the following locations through Sept. 11:

  • Johnson Center's front office, 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday;
  • Student Organizations and Activities office on the first floor of Gatton Student Center, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday;
  • Wellness Station 3 located between the Hilary J. Boone Center and the pathway to William T. Young Library, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday (weather permitting); and
  • University Health Service/Health Education and Wellness PAWS, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.

In 2022, UK was ranked by Forbes as one of the “Best Employers for New Grads” and named a “Diversity Champion” by INSIGHT into Diversity, a testament to our commitment to advance Kentucky and create a community of belonging for everyone. While our mission looks different in many ways than it did in 1865, the vision of service to our Commonwealth and the world remains the same. We are the University for Kentucky.
