Founders of France's N+B Architects Speak at UK
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 5, 2010) – The University of Kentucky College of Design welcomes Elodie Nourrigat and Jacques Brion, founders of N+B Architects, to speak at their Spring Lecture Series. The event will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, in 209 Pence Hall. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Elodie Nourrigat and Jacques Brion are founders of N+B Architects, a firm located in Montpellier, France, that works in both architectural and urban scales.
In 2006, Nourrigat and Brion organized the Festival of the Lively Architecture in Montpellier. Two years later, they were invited to design the French Pavilion for the 11th Venice Architecture Biennale. Later in 2008, they won the "Europe 40 under 40," an honor that recognizes Europe’s emerging young architects and designers that is organized by the European Centre for Structure Art Design and Urban Studies.
Both Nourrigat and Brion have taught at institutions worldwide, such as Laval University in Quebec, Canada; RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia; and Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan.
Nourrigat and Brion are graduates of France's School of Architecture at Montpellier and the University of Lyon III.
