LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 19, 2018) — On March 24-25, the University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business and Economics will host Wall Street Prep’s M&A (mergers and acquisitions) and LBO (leveraged buyout) Modeling Seminar. The college hosted Wall Street Prep’s Financial and Valuation Modeling seminar in fall 2017.

This intensive two-day seminar series is led by former investment bankers with applied expertise in M&A and LBO modeling methodologies, and bridges the gap between academic theory and the real world to equip participants with the hands-on practical financial skills that they will need to excel on the job.

This seminar is ideal for professionals working in investment banking, private equity, portfolio management, business and corporate development, capital markets, equity and credit research, corporate finance, as well as students aspiring for careers in these fields.

“The Wall Street Prep Seminar provides top-notch practical training for people who are interested in investment banking, equity research, portfolio management, business development, capital markets and corporate finance careers,” said seminar coordinator Wendy Liu, senior lecturer and Marguerite Pelissier Teaching Fellow and director of Undergraduate Studies for Gatton’s Department of Finance and Quantitative Methods. “The two-day seminar mimics the process that takes place at today’s leading financial institutions by using real case studies to build merger and leveraged buyout models from scratch. It is an excellent opportunity to learn modeling in a short time.”

The March 24-25 seminar is open to all UK students. The registration cost is $179, which is 75 percent off regular price. Details of the event and links to registration can be found at: https://www.wallstreetprep.com/seminars/university-kentucky-032418/.
