It’s Time To Plan for Next Semester!

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 10, 2010) –  Spring break may be a good time for students to plan out what classes they will take this summer and fall since Priority Registration begins in just a few weeks.

All students who are currently enrolled at UK and plan to attend the summer or fall 2010 terms must register March 29–April 20.  Students should priority register online using myUK.

"Before registering for classes, undergraduates must have their advisor hold released and should therefore contact their college dean’s office for advising instructions," said Michelle Nordin, associate director of undergraduate admission and associate registrar. "Undeclared undergraduate students are advised in the Central Advising Service and Transfer Center located on the first floor of Miller Hall."

The time period when students should priority register is based upon three-day windows which open and close at specific times. Those windows are determined by student classification and hours earned.

"Students will also have a secondary window during registration in case they were unable to register during their assigned priority window," said Nordin.  "Students may view their registration window by logging on to myUK and clicking on the Registration tab."

Beginning March 8, the summer and fall 2010 schedule of classes will be available electronically through myUK.

"The online course catalog in myUK can be located by clicking on the Student Services tab, Registration menu, and then Course Catalog." Nordin said.
