Jersey Street Lot Closing Feb. 5
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 30, 2018) — As part of the land swap between the University of Kentucky and a private developer, the Jersey Street parking lot, located between Limestone and South Upper Streets, will permanently close on Sunday, Feb. 4. The lot primarily serves employees, with 112 spaces designated as intermediate employee parking.
Employees who currently park in the Jersey Street Lot are encouraged to park in the nearby South Limestone Garage (PS #5); the Coliseum Lot, located behind the Joe Craft Center; or the High Street Lot, located between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Lexington Avenue, adjacent to Calvary Baptist Church. Other north campus intermediate employee parking options include the Warren Court Lot, Taylor-Dickey Lot, Scott Street Lot, Comers Lot and Reynolds Lot.
While this closure will result in changes to some employee commuting habits, sufficient capacity does exist in the nearby lots to accommodate impacted employees. Employees should allow additional commuting time following the lot closure as parking routines adjust.

Transportation Services will have staff stationed at the entrance to the Jersey Street Lot on Monday, Feb. 5, to answer questions and to direct employees to appropriate parking alternatives.
