LGBTQ* Resources, Work-Life Employee Picnic Rescheduled

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 14, 2017) — Due to inclement weather, the University of Kentucky Office of LGBTQ* Resources and the UK Office of Work-Life LGBTQ* Family and Friends Employee Picnic has been rescheduled for Thursday, Sept. 21.

The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at The Arboretum (500 Alumni Dr.).

The casual event provides a time for employees to network and learn more about UK Human Resources and the UK Office of LGBTQ* Resources. The event also focuses on community building and creating new connections among employees. Families are welcome.

"LGBTQ* Resources and Human Resources are proud to host these picnic events twice a year as a way for faculty and staff who identify as LGBTQ* or allies to build community and enjoy one another," said Lance Poston, director of the Office of LGBTQ* Resources.

Free parking is available at The Arboretum. Attendees may follow signs to the picnic area.
