Old-fashioned Valentines Now Online

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 12, 2010) − The public is invited to check out an online exhibition of a postcard collection celebrating love and friendship from across the United States and abroad from the University of Kentucky Special Collections and Digital Programs.

The holiday postcards exhibit is the subject of a blog entry titled "Progressive Hearts: Valentine's Day Postcards from 100 Years Ago" on the blog Curiosities & Wonders, which showcases news and interesting items from UK Archives and the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History.

The online exhibit is comprised of a slideshow highlighting images of children, couples and cupid on Valentine's Day postcards from around the world. The slideshow was curated by Jeff Suchanek and scanned by Lewis Warden.
