LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 29, 2017) — Physical education teachers are invited to fortify their skills Monday, June 19, at an institute sponsored by the Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion at the University of Kentucky College of Education. The event, called the PAWS Institute, is part of the Physical Activity and Wellness Schools Program (PAWS).

Physical education teachers, as well as college students studying physical education, are invited to sessions focused on innovative games, health education, health promotion, dance, fitness, classroom physical activity and more.

PAWS was created thanks to a gift from UK alumni Steve and Elaine Harris and funds from the George and Betty Blanda Endowed Professorship.

Prior to June 1, registration is $65 for professionals and is free for students. After June 1, online registration will not be available and registration fees will increase to $90 per person. To register, go to https://education.uky.edu/khp/paws-institute-2017/.
