of

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 17, 2010) − The public is invited to check out a positively green online exhibition of an old postcard collection celebrating St. Patrick's Day presented by University of Kentucky Special Collections and Digital Programs.

The holiday postcards exhibit is the subject of a blog entry titled "When Irish Eyes Were Smiling: St. Patrick's Day Postcards from 100 Years Ago" on the blog Curiosities & Wonders, which showcases news and interesting items from UK Archives and the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History.

The online exhibit is comprised of a slideshow highlighting 33 images of shamrocks, Ireland and people decked out in green celebrating St. Patrick's Day. The slideshow was made possible by the work of Jeff Suchanek and Lewis Warden.
