LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 10, 2019) — The University of Kentucky Staff Senate will host an open forum with UK Provost David Blackwell from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, in the Scholars Lounge in Lewis Honors College.

The chat provides faculty and staff with an opportunity to engage in an informal dialogue and discussion with Blackwell, bringing the University of Kentucky community together to strengthen common goals and discuss future campus endeavors.

"These chats allow for streamlined communication with the provost and the university community," said Jon Gent, Staff Senate chair. "Frequently, employees can be the last to know what’s going on in their workplace; events like these help us know better what is happening within our halls, which leads to higher job satisfaction."

Through these chats, the hope is that the university will become a more cohesive unit with a goal to serve and educate the people of the Commonwealth.
