UK Alumni Association Hosts TaxSlayer Bowl Events

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 23, 2016) — The University of Kentucky Alumni Association will host two events in conjunction with the UK football team’s game against Georgia Tech (Georgia Institute of Technology) in the TaxSlayer Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 31, in Jacksonville, Florida.

On Thursday, Dec. 29, there will be a Big Blue Welcome Reception and Game Watch Party at River City Brewing, 835 Museum Circle. The event is free and open to all Wildcat fans starting at 7 p.m. with light appetizers and entertainment, followed by the Game Watch Party for the UK men’s basketball game against University of Mississippi.  

On Saturday, Dec. 31, the Pregame Breakfast Tailgate Party with Pep Rally is slated 8-10 a.m., at the Jacksonville Expo Center, 500 Fairgrounds Place. Fans can enjoy a breakfast buffet along with giveaways, entertainment and special appearances by the UK cheerleaders and UK Pep Band. A cash bar will also be available. Cost is $25 for association members, $30 for nonmembers and $10 for children ages 10 and under. Ticket price includes admission to the event and pregame meal.
