LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 21, 2025) — The University of Kentucky is excited to celebrate Employee Appreciation Day 2025 in May, which includes the release of this year’s official UK Employee Appreciation Day T-shirt.

After a competitive selection process, staff member Brittani Garland’s design emerged victorious. T-shirts with Garland’s winning design will be available for order through 1 p.m. Feb. 25. The UK Staff Senate encourages UK employees to wear the T-shirt across campus on UK Employee Appreciation Day, May 22.

To guarantee on-time distribution, all employees should place their T-shirt orders by the Feb. 25 deadline. To order a T-shirt, go to UK 2025 Employee Appreciation Day T-Shirt Order Form.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
