UK Fans Roar In Lexington and Indianapolis

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 16, 2017) -- The UK Alumni Association is hosting several events in Lexington and Indianapolis this weekend, celebrating the University of Kentucky men and women’s appearance in the NCAA Basketball Tournament.

On Friday, March 17, there will be a Pregame Open House from 10-11:30 a.m. at the King Alumni House, at the corner of Euclid and Rose streets prior to the UK women’s NCAA first round game against Belmont at Memorial Coliseum at noon. Alumni Association members can also pick up a complimentary clear tote to bring to the game and show their Wildcat spirit. In Indianapolis, there will be a game watch party from noon-2 p.m. EDT at the Tin Roof, 36 S. Pennsylvania St.

Also on Friday, a pregame gathering will be held prior to the men’s game in Indianapolis against Northern Kentucky from 4-6 p.m. at the Tin Roof in Indianapolis. Attendees may purchase food and drinks, and the UK Band and UK Cheerleaders will lead a pep rally. There will also be a Game Watch Party during Friday night’s game, which is scheduled to start around 9:30 p.m. EDT. If the Wildcats win Friday, a similar event is planned for Sunday’s second round game.

On Saturday, March 18, the Central Indiana UK Alumni Club invites alumni and fans to participate in a service project from 9 a.m.-noon at Gleaner’s Food Bank of Indiana, 3737 Waldemere Ave., Indianapolis. For information, email Laura Moore at lauralmoore@gmail.com.
