UK Staff Senate to host DanceBlue mini marathon
LEXINGTON, KY. (March 5, 2025) — The University of Kentucky Staff Senate will host a DanceBlue Mini Marathon from noon-3 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, in the Charles T. Wethington Building, Room 127, with a virtual option at staffsenate.uky.edu/zoom.
Open to all UK employees, this event offers a lively atmosphere of music and dancing, all supporting DanceBlue’s mission to assist children and families battling pediatric cancer.
The Staff Senate Dance Blue Mini Marathon aims to raise awareness and funds for the DanceBlue Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Kentucky Children’s Hospital. Employees can stop by at any point, whether they plan to stay on their feet for the full three hours or drop in for a quick visit. There is no admission fee, but donations are welcome and encouraged.
For additional details about the DanceBlue Mini Marathon, visit the Staff Senate website and join us in making a difference. Every donation and kind word from the UK community goes a long way toward giving every child the care and hope they deserve as they fight cancer.
As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
