LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 2, 2019) — The Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship, part of the University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business and Economics, invites students, faculty and staff from across campus, together with the general public to an information session and fall recruitment gathering on Thursday, April 11. The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m., in the Venture Studio, Room 124 in the Gatton College Building.

Bootcamp is a one-semester program created and operated by the Von Allmen Center (VACE), providing participants a way to experience entrepreneurship in full immersion.

“This info session is open to anyone interested in entrepreneurship,” said Warren Nash, director of VACE. “Anyone who has an idea, a product they’d like to create or a passion they wish to pursue is welcome.”

Mariam Gorjian is manager of Bootcamp.

“Participants will truly live the life of an entrepreneur by conceiving, developing and pitching an idea from start to finish,” said Gorjian. “Bootcamp participants will work with a variety of mentors throughout the process by attending once-a-week workshops on topics such as prototyping, marketing, finance and more.”

This is a free event, and again is open to the public.
