Evers to Speak at Good Morning Bluegrass Event

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 18, 2012) - Dr. Mark Evers, director of the Markey Cancer Center and professor and vice chair for research for the UK Department of Surgery, is one of three panelists speaking during the next Good Morning Bluegrass Event on Friday, June 29.

Evers -- along with United Way President Bill Farmer and Lexington Herald-Leader President and Publisher Rufus Friday -- will form a panel of key leaders in the Lexington community who have recently relocated here from outside Kentucky, bringing with them an infusion of new ideas and perspectives.

The panel will give their impressions of Lexington and any misconceptions they may have had of the community. They will also discuss their decision to relocate here and their visions of how their organizations will shape the community in the future.
