Free Guide Helps Employees Navigate UK HealthCare

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 3, 2010) — How will you find a new primary care doctor? Is there a UK resource to help you achieve your fitness goals? Who should you contact about prescription co-pay counseling? The latest University of Kentucky Employee Medical Services Guide puts all of this information at your fingertips – and is available both electronically and in hard copy.

Published by UK HealthCare and UK Human Resources, the guide serves as a valuable resource for UK employees as they navigate the UK HealthCare system. From pediatrics to eldercare, and from outpatient appointments to hospitalization, the guide is full of information about clinical services. A section on each program describes clinical services offered, along with the contact information needed to make an appointment.

Part directory, and part how-to book, the guide also answers questions about directions, parking and billing.

The booklet also includes information on programs available to UK employees and their families, including wellness programs, prescription counseling and support groups.

To request a free hard copy of the Employee Medical Services Guide, UK employees should call 257-1000 in Lexington, or 1-800-333-8874 (toll-free). The guide can also be downloaded as a PDF. Other UK HealthCare guides are also available online.
