Learn About Chellgren Fellows Program at 'Opportunities for Excellence'

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 19, 2016) — The University of Kentucky Chellgren Center for Undergraduate Excellence will give students an opportunity to learn about a unique educational program next week.

Open to first-year students, the "Opportunities for Excellence" information session will help students learn more about the Chellgren Student Fellows Program, which provides experiences that go beyond the classroom

The session will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, in Room 200 of the Funkhouser building. Free pizza will be provided. Seating is limited, so a free registration is required.

Open to incoming sophomores, the Chellgren Student Fellows program cultivates extraordinary academic achievement among some of UK's best students. Outstanding faculty from across campus serve as individual mentors for the students as they conduct academic research. The Fellows are also prepared for nationally competitive scholarship opportunities.
