Mullineaux Re-elected to Fed Home Loan Bank Board

 

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 9, 2012) –  Don Mullineaux, the duPont Endowed Chair in Banking and Financial Services at the University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business and Economics, has been re-elected to the board of directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) of Cincinnati, in the role of an independent director.

Mullineaux, who has taught at UK since 1984 and has received numerous awards for his teaching and research, was first elected to the FHLB board in 2009.

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati provides funds for residential mortgages and community development loans to more than 700 member commercial banks, thrifts, credit unions, and insurance companies in Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee.  FHLB Cincinnati is part of the Federal Home Loan Bank System, which consists of 12 district banks, a national network of approximately 8,000 financial institution members, the Federal Housing Finance Agency, and the Office of Finance.
