New Online Resource for Distance Learning Opportunities at UK

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 22, 2016) — UK Online is the new online resource for prospective and current University of Kentucky students to learn about the various distance learning opportunities available at UK.

The site contains information on programs that students can participate in fully online, allowing the completion of coursework from any location, as well as hybrid programs that include some on-campus face-to-face components. Many individual distance learning courses that are part of traditional face-to-face programs offered throughout the university can also be found on the site.

The new UK Online site showcases the services and tools that are integral for students to achieve a quality distance education. The site provides training materials for UK’s learning management system, Canvas, as well as other university supported technologies. Contact and introductory information for financial aid, advising, distance learning library resources, and other student support services are also provided on the site.

As the university continues to expand its distance learning program and course offerings, UK Online will grow and be the destination for UK distance education. UK Online was designed in collaboration with several academic and service units and replaces the previous Distance Learning Programs website.
