Student Financial Literacy Conference at Gatton

 LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 10, 2012) – The Wildcat Investors is hosting a Financial Literacy Conference from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, February 10, in Room 248 of Gatton College of Business and Economics building.  The theme of the conference is becoming a financially savvy student and young adult.  It is open to all students of all majors and years.

The roster of speakers and the times of their presentations is as follows:

10 a.m.: Steve Seals, UK Federal Credit Union speaking on benefits of getting an early start to investing.

11 a.m.: Megin Morgan, UK Federal Credit Union speaking on being credit savvy as a student and young adult.

Noon: Frank Patton, First Investors Corporation speaking on building wealth and appropriate savings/investing vehicles.

1 p.m.: Wildcat Investors presenting how to get involved with investing on campus and setting oneself apart.

2 p.m.: Michael Lively, Edward Jones, speaking on skills for getting into the finance industry and building a network of contacts.
