UK Alumnus is Courier-Journal's New Publisher

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 27, 2012) — University of Kentucky alumnus Wesley Jackson has been named publisher of The Courier-Journal, the state's largest newspaper in circulation. 

Jackson, 41, is a native of Louisville and a 1994 graduate of the UK College of Communications and Information Studies. He came to the Courier-Journal in August 2011 as vice president for sales and marketing and was announced as publisher April 18. Jackson succeeds former publisher Arnold Garson, who retired in March. 

With a focus on digital media, Jackson has worked with several developmental technology businesses and was founder of Mastery Mavens LLC, president and chief operating officer of VuPal Networks, and a partner in Maroon Ventures LLC, a boutique digital media consulting firm.
