UK College of Education Hosting 'Most Likely To Succeed' Screening

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 11, 2015) – The University of Kentucky College of Education will host a screening of "Most Likely To Succeed," an award-winning documentary about education and curriculum reform in 21st century America, from 6:15-8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14.

The event, held at the STEAM Academy at 123 E. Sixth St.in Lexington, is free and open to the public.

The film's executive producer Ted Dintersmith will attend the screening, which will be held in the gym of the STEAM Academy, a next generation high school and partnership between Fayette County Public Schools and the UK College of Education.

"Most Likely To Succeed" presents problems with the current educational system - namely that it was designed more than a century ago - and explores a new type of school experience by following students, parents and teachers at San Diego's High Tech High.
