UK Exchange Servers to Get Upgrade

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 26, 2012) — University of Kentucky Information Technology (UKIT) plans to install new Client Access Servers (CAS) on Monday, Jan. 30, as part of the Exchange 2010 upgrade. 

All Exchange connections are made through the CAS, but the upgrade will be mostly transparent to Exchange users. Those using Outlook Web Access (OWA) will see an updated login screen.

UKIT will migrate UK employees to new mailbox servers and Exchange 2010 in February 2012. Additional information will be provided prior to the migration via UKNow and www.uky.edu/email. Employees with e-mail concerns should contact the UKIT Service Desk at (859) 218-HELP (4357).
