UK Students Doing Projects in Scotland
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 14, 2010) − University of Kentucky students and faculty are featured in today's Glasgow newspaper. And this time, we are referring to Glasgow, Scotland, not Glasgow, Ky.
Three UK faculty members are guiding a study abroad program for undergraduate and graduate students in the Community and Leadership Development program in the College of Agriculture. Bryan Hains, a specialist with ag education; Kristina Ricketts, a leadership specialist; and Ron Hustedde, extension professor of community and leadership development, are leading three teams of students in working on projects for the Highlands and Islands Enterprise, a leading Scottish governmental development agency.
The UK graduate students participating in the program are from ag education and community and leadership development, with one doctoral candidate in economic geography also on the trip.
