UK Students Encouraged to Enter "Go Tobacco-free" Logo Design Contest

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 11, 2013) − University of Kentucky students are invited to submit entries for "Go Tobacco-free" logo.  The purpose of the logo is to promote tobacco-free campuses in Kentucky and beyond.  The logo will be placed on the Kentucky Center for Smoke-free Policy's Go Tobacco-free website, social media sites and on other promotional materials to communicate this message to other college and university campuses.

Logo entries will be judged by a jury panel comprised of faculty and staff involved with the UK Tobacco-free Task Force. The logo should communicate the tobacco-free message in an eye-catching, positive tone using light, airy colors.  The graphic logo should be original work not borrowed or copied from an already copyrighted material. The winning entry shall be awarded a $1,000 scholarship. The selected graphic will then be used for promotional purposes by the Go Tobacco-free initiative and will be the property of UK.

The jury panel will determine the winning entry and reserves the right not to select a winner or to designate multiple winners in which the $1,000 prize may be split between more than one winner if so determined.

Financial Aid will disburse the funds to the winner as a scholarship payment.

Deadline for entries is Dec. 15. For more information, email Mark O'Bryan at m2@iglou.com.
