UK Theatre Presents 'Zombie Town' This Halloween Season

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 30, 2013) — “Zombie Town: a documentary play” will kick off the Halloween season as the University of Kentucky Department of Theatre puts on a “hip, hilarious and irreverent experience that will keep you laughing,” according to The Times-Picayune. The play will start at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 3-5 and 10-12, and 2 p.m. Oct. 13, in the Guignol Theatre.
“Zombie Town” is set in a Texas town where the citizens are recuperating from the recent zombie apocalypse. Shaken by the traumatic experience, treacherous schemes, slaughter and tales of valor are revealed throughout.

The UK Department of Theatre at UK College of Fine Arts has played an active role in the performance scene in Central Kentucky for more than 100 years. Students in the program get hands-on training and one-on-one mentorship from a renowned professional theatre faculty. The liberal arts focus of their bachelor's degree program is coupled with ongoing career counseling to ensure a successful transition from campus to professional life.
