UK Theatre Set to Time Travel With 'On the Verge'
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 26, 2012) — The University of Kentucky Department of Theatre is ready to transport audiences through time with "On the Verge (Or the Geography of Yearning)." The play will run Nov. 29-Dec. 9, at the Guignol Theatre.
In "On the Verge," by Eric Overmyer, three women seek adventure and time travel in a modern quirky comedy. From the 19th century to 1955, the future unfolds for these three explorers through twisting and turning escapades.
"On the Verge" takes the stage 7:30 p.m., Nov. 29-30, Dec. 1 and 6-8, and 2 p.m., Dec. 9. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for students. The UK Department of Theatre at UK College of Fine Arts has played an active role in the performance scene in Central Kentucky for more than 100 years.
