UK Wins Big Blue Crush for Second Straight Year
Lexington, Ky. (Nov. 22, 2011) – The Big Blue Crush trophy is staying in Kentucky. Wildcat fans held on to the lead and beat Tennessee, 3,219 to 2,969.
“We’re a big blue nation of life savers, and Kentucky patients are the big winners,” said Bill Reed, Kentucky Blood Center president & CEO.
This was the 24th annual Big Blue Crush. Kentucky has now won two years in a row. Tennessee still leads the rivalry 12 to 11 with 1 tie.
The trophy presentation will be during the Kentucky-Tennessee football game this Saturday, Nov. 26.
