UK's KSBDC Names 2013 Kentucky Pacesetters
Winners were recognized at the Kentucky Celebrates Small Businesses event in Frankfort. Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes and KSBDC State Director Becky Naugle presented the awards at the Capitol in front of state and local officials and community representatives. This week, May 20-24, is National Small Business Week.
The Kentucky Business Pacesetter Program recognizes Kentucky-based businesses that are changing the economic landscape of the Commonwealth by introducing innovative products, increasing sales and boosting employment. The businesses inducted into this year’s sixth class of Kentucky Business Pacesetters include:

The Kentucky Business Pacesetter Program and the Kentucky Celebrates Small Businesses event represent a collaborative effort between the KSBDC and the United States Small Business Administration (SBA). In addition to recognizing Pacesetter recipients, the SBA recognized Mehdi Yazdanpanah, CEO and founder of NaugaNeedles, LLC as the Kentucky Small Business Person of the Year.
