You Can't Start the Year Without Some SAB Fun

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 18, 2016) — The University of Kentucky Student Activities Board’s annual Campus Ruckus event will take place from 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, to midnight Sunday in the Green Lot by Commonwealth Stadium. Join the Traditions Committee as they help incoming students start the school year right and embrace campus.

During this fun and welcoming atmosphere, students and members of the community can learn more about the different student organizations that the University of Kentucky has to offer. This event is a K Week tradition and is held every year after Big Blue U.

Campus Ruckus includes inflatables, free T-shirts, food samples from vendors and booths set up by many student organizations on campus. Students will have the opportunity to sample local food options, receive information on organizations, make new friends and all around have a night filled with fun.

“I love Campus Ruckus,” said Jazmine Byrd, director of Traditions. “This event is a traditional favorite and it’s such a great way for incoming students to get acclimated to all that UK has to offer.”
