Deadline to Apply for SGA Child Care Grants Approaching

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 11, 2013) — The application deadline for child care grants for spring 2013 offered by UK’s Student Government Association is tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 12.

SGA awards these grants each semester to assist UK students who are also parents with daycare or other child care-related expenses. A limited number of grants are available and are awarded based on financial need of the applicant.

Students interested in applying can find the application at www.uksga.org/applicatons/childcare-grants. The application requires basic information about the family and a brief essay describing the applicant’s needs.

Applications must be submitted by noon Tuesday, Feb. 12, to the SGA office, 120 Student Center.
