WUKY Now Offering Classical Music on HD-2
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 13, 2019) — WUKY is launching a classical music service with "100 Essential Classics" selected by general manager and longtime veteran classical music radio broadcaster Tom Godell.
Godell’s list includes many familiar artists — such as the symphonies of Ludwig van Beethoven and Wolfgang Mozart, concertos by Johannes Brahms, Antonio Vivaldi and Pyotr Tchaikovsky — as well as a few surprises from William Grant Still and Clara Schumann.
WUKY’s Classical Music on HD-2, "Essential Classics," presents full-length symphonies, concertos and sonatas as they were meant to be heard: complete and without interruption. In addition, viewers will hear both the best performances of our time and most remarkable recordings of the past, both stereo and mono, often played from the original vinyl LPs.
