LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 8, 2023) Are you a University of Kentucky student looking for a part-time job? This year’s Part-Time Job Fair will take place 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, at the Gatton Student Center Social Staircase. Come out and find employers from on and off-campus who want to hire students and are willing to work with your schedule. All UK students are invited and encouraged to participate.

Student-friendly employers who are eager to hire will be set up, ready to talk about their part-time job opportunities. Employers attending include Coca-Cola, Fayette County Public Schools, Rupp Arena, and many more. A full list of employers can be found on Handshake on the Part-Time Job Fair event page.

Here are three things you can do to prepare:

  1. Browse the employer list and choose which employers you would like to meet.

  2. Visit the Stuckert Career Center for a resume review.

  3. Write and practice your elevator pitch.

Students can register for the event here. Questions about the event? Please contact hireblue@uky.edu

This event is hosted by UK’s Stuckert Career Center and UK Human Resources Student Employment.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
