Explore. Connect. Impact. in Action - The 2015 Student Involvement Fair

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 21, 2015)  The University of Kentucky Office of Student Involvement is hosting the annual Student Involvement Fair from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, on the White Hall Classroom Building plaza area.

The Student Involvement Fair is a great opportunity for all students to explore the more than 550 registered student organizations at UK. Studies show that students involved in campus life, through things like student organizations, are happier with their college experience, do better academically and are more likely to matriculate from year to year and ultimately graduate.

At the fair, students are encouraged to visit the booths of different organizations and chat with the members of the groups they are interested in joining. Being a part of a campus organization helps make our large campus feel smaller and allows students to build community.

The Student Involvement Fair is just one way that students, returning and new, can learn about ways to connect with other students on campus. Student organizations are under the umbrella of the Office of Student Involvement. Formerly located in the Center for Student Involvement, while the Student Center is undergoing its renovation, the professional staff advisors and organization offices that are part of OSI are located on the third floor of Blazer Hall. WRFL-FM is located in the basement of the White Hall Classroom Building. Every Wildcat is welcome and encouraged to stop by Blazer Hall to learn more about getting involved.

In addition to the hundreds of student organizations that assisted through the services offered by the OSI, there are five student organizations that call the Office of Student Involvement home.

Students may also explore OrgSync or Volunteer Match websites.

OrgSync is an online platform where students connect to campus organizations, programs and departments. It is the home to all of UK's more than 550 student organizations and helps them manage their organizations, while also providing an easy way for any student to get connected to them!
