A Concert That Will Steal Your Heart
LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 6, 2015) — Student Activities Board's Concerts Committee presents the Ballroom Thieves, an up-and-coming folk rock band from Boston, that will perform at 8 p.m. Monday, March 9, in Memorial Hall.
The Ballroom Thieves have recently toured with Houndmouth and The Lone Bellow. Two of their songs, “Archers” and “Save Me,” each have more than 14,000 views on YouTube. They have also performed at several different types of venues, such as Larimer Lounge in Denver, BSP Lounge in Kingston, N.Y., Iron Horse in Northampton, Mass., and Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, Mass..
“This type of sound has proven to be a student favorite over the years, so we are thrilled to bring the Ballroom Thieves,” Jordan Keeton, director of Concerts, said. “Their impassioned brand of folk music is sure to liven up your Monday!”
Bringing the Ballroom Thieves to campus will expose students to a type of music that continues to be a local favorite in an affordable manner, as the event is free and non-ticketed.
