Energy Researcher Chosen as 'New Face of Engineering'

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 23, 2010) -- Center for Applied Energy Research engineer Courtney Fisk was chosen as one of 13 "New Faces of Engineering" by the National Engineers Week Foundation.

Fisk was featured in an ad in USA Today that highlighted her and her 12 other honorees. A brief profile of Fisk is online here.

She works in the center's Biofuels and Environmental Catalysis Group.

In addition to working at the University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research, Fisk also is a graduate from UK's Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering program, a joint program of the colleges of Agriculture and Engineering. She earned her bachelor's degree in 2005 and her master's degree in 2007, both at UK. She is currently working on her MBA at the UK Gatton College for Business and Economics.

Fisk hails from Taylor Mill, Ky.
