LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 24, 2018) – Rebecca Volpe, Northern Kentucky University Small Business Development Center director, was named the Sutton Landry State Star by the American Small Business Development Center.

Annually, the center awards the title to one member from each of the 63 national networks. Award recipients are selected for their significant contributions to their center’s program and dedication to assisting small businesses.

Volpe earned this honor for her outstanding achievements in supporting the small business community of Northern Kentucky. With her help, her client Mavis Linnemann-Clark also won the Small Business Administration’s Kentucky Owned Small Business of the Year honor.

Volpe recently was recognized at a private reception during the American Small Business Development Center conference in Washington, D.C.

Volpe has been with the Northern Kentucky University Small Business Development Center since 2012. She brought to the center more than 18 years of experience in business and credit analysis, financial underwriting, business development, deal packaging and more. Over the course of her career, Volpe has assisted businesses and real estate developers in attracting more than $30 million in capital.
