Three UK Alums Named APhA Fellows

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 1, 2011) − Twenty-five percent of the 2011 American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Fellows class are members of the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy family. APhA recently named their 2011 Fellows, with 12 scholars being recognized this year. Three UK alums were named: 
 

·         Holly Divine, a 1997 UK College of Pharmacy alum, associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science at the UK College of Pharmacy;


·        
David D. Allen, a 1986 UK College of Pharmacy alum, founding dean of Pharmacy and professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Pharmacy; and

·         Melody Ryan, a 1993 UK College of Pharmacy alum, associate professor in Pharmacy Practice and Science at the UK College of Pharmacy.

Divine, Allen and Ryan will be honored at the APhA Annual Meeting and Exposition in Seattle, Wash., March 25-28, 2011.
 

To become a Fellow, APhA says that “members must have demonstrated exemplary service and achievements in his or her professional area through service to APhA and other national, state or local professional organizations.”
