Van Eldik Appears in National Alzheimer's PSA

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 21, 2011) - Linda J. Van Eldik, director of the University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Center on Aging, has taken the fight against Alzheimer's disease to the airwaves. Van Eldik appears in a public service announcement recently produced by the American Health Assistance Foundation.

In the televised video spot, Van Eldik explains that every 70 seconds a person in the U.S. is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease - more than 1,000 people every day. She also shares information about prevention and support for people with Alzheimer's and their loved ones.

The AHAF public service announcement is currently airing across the nation, and can also be seen on the University of Kentucky's YouTube channel.
