5 Ways to be a Part of DanceBlue Without Being a Dancer

It’s that time again! DanceBlue, one of the greatest traditions at the University of Kentucky and one of the fastest growing philanthropies in the Southeastern Conference, is happening on Feb. 29. Want to get involved but you’re not a dancer? Here is an easy list of ways to still be a part of DanceBlue.
  • Volunteer - Serve the kids by volunteering at the dance marathon. DanceBlue is currently looking for individuals to work 12 different volunteer shifts.
  • Be a Spectator – Spectators are always welcome to come visit and hang out in the stands. This year there are multiple opportunities for spectators to get involved including a photo booth, games, scavenger hunts and the opportunity to win DanceBlue merchandise.
  • Cheer on Your Friends – Go to the dance marathon to cheer on your friends or bring them food. There will be a poster making station where you can creatively show your support for your favorite dancer on the floor.
  • Follow Their Social Media – Be Sure to follow all of the DanceBlue social media for frequent updates on the best day of the year. They will release different videos throughout the 24 hours to keep everyone in the loop. Their instagram handle is @uk_danceblue
  • Donate – Can’t physically be at the dance marathon? You can still support the cause by donating money to the Golden Matrix Fund which has recently allowed for the construction of a new Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic that has expanded the capacity of the DanceBlue clinic as well as providing a more convenient and comfortable experience for the families.
