DanceBlue 2019 Date Revealed!

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 8, 2018) — DanceBlue announced that the 2019 Dance Marathon will begin 8 p.m. Saturday, March 2, and conclude 24 hours later, at 8 p.m. Sunday, March 3. The countdown toward the "best day of the year" has officially begun!

The 2019 marathon will serve as a celebration of 365 days of hard work "For The Kids." DanceBlue has spent this year transitioning into the brand new Gatton Student Center office space. The office has allowed easier collaboration among other student organizations and an open environment for students to stop by to ask questions or to learn more about DanceBlue. Overall DanceBlue Chair Tyler Ward said, “DanceBlue has had an incredible year and we’re still halfway to the finish line. We are so excited to be announcing the date for our 24-hour dance marathon, but don’t blink because DB19 will be here before we know it! If you have any questions or want to know how to become involved feel free to visit us in our new DanceBlue office located in the Gatton Student Center or reach out to one of our committee members. Our committee has been working very hard to make this one of the best marathons yet!”

DanceBlue is UK’s 24-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon that benefits the Golden Matrix Fund and the DanceBlue Kentucky Children’s Hospital Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic. Now in its 13th year, DanceBlue has raised more than $13.4 million for pediatric cancer research and child-life efforts.
