New Education Certificate Program Launches, Deadline June 30

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 27, 2018) Educators have a few more days to apply to an online UK College of Education Educational Leadership Studies program offering three “stackable” graduate certificates leading to a master’s degree in teacher leadership.

The program begins this fall with its first cohort of students working toward certificates in school technology leadership, instructional coaching and leadership for deeper learning. Each certificate requires three online courses (nine hours). Students can pursue any of the certificates alone, or apply them toward the requirements for the teacher leadership degree.

“We’re excited to help teachers step out of their classroom comfort zones,” said John Nash, department chair in the UK College of Education Department of Educational Leadership Studies. “We offer diverse learning experiences to help educators instill deeper leaning and critical thinking skills in their teaching practices.”

The application deadline is June 30.
