Student Government to Hold Run-Off Election

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 6, 2019) — University of Kentucky's Student Government held the 2019 Spring Elections last week. After a hard-fought race for president, vice president and the College of Social Work seat, no winner could be declared.

Per the SGA constitution, a presidential and vice-presidential ticket needs to gain 50 percent of the vote plus one, and a senate candidate needs to win by a simple majority. Because of this, SGA will be holding a run-off today (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday), March 6 and 7. Students will need to know their linkblue login information to vote.

Any questions regarding the election or SGA election process can be directed to Michaela Taylor at uksgaelections@gmail.com.
