Communication Grad Student Interviewed on CBC
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 9, 2012) — David Wheeler, a doctoral student in mass communication at the University of Kentucky, has recently gotten some mass media exposure of his own.
Wheeler was interviewed on Feb. 1 by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) for its show "Q," hosted by Jian Ghomeshi, which has 2 million listeners and is syndicated on Public Radio International and Sirius XM radio.
The subject was an article Wheeler had recently written for The Atlantic's website, titled "Signing off: The slow death of the signature in a PIN-code world." The interview may be heard online at www.cbc.ca/q/blog/2012/02/01/the-end-of-the-signature.
Wheeler is assistant professor of journalism at Asbury University. He has advised the student newspaper there since 2007.
