DanceBlue to Host Third Annual Silent Auction
Lexington, KY (Oct. 16, 2017) — DanceBlue is holding its third annual Silent Auction 7 p.m., Oct. 21, at the Woodford Reserve Club at Kroger Field. DanceBlue is one of the University of Kentucky’s most loved traditions. Every year, hundreds of students prepare for the 24-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon in the spring. All efforts of DanceBlue benefit the DanceBlue Kentucky Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Clinic right here in Lexington.
The Silent Auction is DanceBlue’s signature fundraising event featuring baskets to bid on from Keeneland, Kendra Scott, UK Athletics and more. There will be hors d’oeuvres, a DJ and speakers sharing their inspirational stories from the DanceBlue Clinic.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Golden Matrix Fund. The Golden Matrix Fund serves to support the patients and families in the DanceBlue Clinic through housing, food vouchers, gas cards, clinic staff (a child life specialist and school intervention specialist), as well as furthering cancer research. The ultimate goal of the Golden Matrix Fund is to better the lives of patients and their families.
