LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 24, 2017) — Time to lace up your running shoes and start training! The annual DanceBlue 5K will begin at noon Sunday, Oct. 1. This year’s walk/run 5K will be held at the newly named Kroger Field and will benefit the DanceBlue Kentucky Children’s Hospital Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic.
Students, faculty, marathon runners and DanceBlue supporters are all welcome to come join DanceBlue for a great afternoon. Register online before Sept. 15 and receive a free T-shirt (link below!). Online registration closes Sept. 27.
University of Kentucky students participating in the 2018 DanceBlue Marathon will be able to earn spirit points for their team. For every dancer registered, the team will be awarded five points.
DanceBlue is the University of Kentucky's 24-hour, no sitting, no sleeping dance marathon that benefits the Golden Matrix Fund. The DanceBlue Kentucky Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Clinic opened its brand new facility in 2017 after a complete renovation funded solely from DanceBlue.
